    Wotcha!

Hi! I'm Madi. I'm 13 and I'm from North Wales. I care for my Dad who has Bipolar, BPD and Fibromyalgia, but mostly for my Mum when my Dad is away. Mum's depressed and has OCD which means she worries about everything and anything, including about me because I go to school on a train!! When my Dad goes away I care for my Mum loads, by helping her around the house, giving her a hug and being there for anything she wants to say to me. It hurts to have to be a sounding board, but it also feels good because you're not being kept in the dark.

I like performing of any kind, especially acting, and I love musicals such as Wicked. I'm also a big pirate fan, and I hate ninjas because they aren't as good as pirates!

     So, that's me! Hi everybody!

    Hiya Kiwi!

I LOVE WICKEDDDDD! I went to see it in London on Wednesday with my Mum, it is mind-blowing! I haven't read the novel but I hope to read it and Son of a Witch, the sequel. I wanted them to put Liir in the musical!!!!! He sounds so awesome!!!! :P. My favourite character based on actor/actress would have to be either Dianne Pilkington's Galinda or Katie Rowley Jones' Nessarose. My favourite character based on character is either Elphaba or Galinda because, let's face it, Nessarose is NASTY!!!! Plus Galinda is very very very much like me Embarrassed.

Yeah, I'm fluent! I used to live in the Midlands but I moved to Wales and learnt the language, and I'm now starting my GCSE course at 13! It's supa cool!

My best friend's Dad has Schizophrenia. He went to jail but now he lives in Canada. My friend misses him but knows that he isn't worth bothering about.

Well, the school aren't doing anything at the moment (but rumor has it that the next show could be Grease, Sleep), but I'm in two theatre groups - one for under-18s and the other a professional adult group. With the under-18s I'm doing a pantomime called Robinson Crusoe and the Pirates (and although I don't know who I'm playing yet, I'd LOVE to do Robinson Crusoe because they want a girl to play him), and with the pros I'm doing a special play of Hi-De-Hi!!! It's funny. I'd much rather do Wicked, though..... Wink so I keep dropping subtle hints....that aren't actually so subtle.....

    Re: Wotcha!

Lol that sounds amazing- so what subjects are u taking at school- i took Art music and drama in 6th form but in lower school i took Art, Music, Resistant materials. Applied french, Single science, History, English and Maths. Are u involed in any Young carers group in ur area?

My favorite character is Elphaba i love her- cuz she's not wicked! but i really really really enjoyed the show and am hopin to go back to see it very soon! but i doubt i will.

What other hobbies do u have?

    Re: Wotcha!

Well, we've just chosen our Options (we go into Year Ten early at my school), so I've taken French, Performing Arts BTEC and Media. With Media I'm going to New York for 6 days next year! It'll be so much fun! I've already done two GCSE modules in Science and one in Maths, and I've got my next two on the 23rd and 24th (Science first, then Maths).

Erm...I haven't got many other hobbies. Writing (poetry and fiction mostly), drawing, clothes design and that's pretty much it. I like spending time with my boyfriend from Drama Group, though.

    Re: Wotcha!

Sounds good to me- when u go to new york please do the following

    • Have a colour photocopy of ur passport and keep it in ur suitcase
    • look into getting money on a holiday visa- cuz then if u do loose it it can be canceled and ur money can get sent through western union.
    • Stay in groups- dont go into a shop called Champs in times square for trainers!
    • Make sure u mum/dad has got the card number 4 all of ur cards ect even national insurance ect.
    • Enjoy every min of it.

I bet ur asking why is she telling me all of this well i went to newyork a few months ago and my bag got stolen and i lost my passpost my ipod, camera and all of my cards- but because i was so prepared i had all of my cards canceled with in about 20mins- my money of my card for the holiday was with me with in an hour through western Union- and i didnt have to fill in loads and loads of forms because i had already got my old passport number and photo- they there for knew it was me, and that i had already got a passport.

what sort of time of year are u going? Have u ever been to america before??

I've never been to America before, but I'm really looking forwards to it! I'm going October half term 2009, which seems a long way away but it'll pass really quickly. I'll be in Year 11!

    Re: Wotcha!

Thanks! I had a great time on holiday, and a great birthday too! I entered the karaoke competition, singing "Mamma Mia" from Abba and won! It was great! I got a t-shirt with "karaoke championships" on, a Park Resorts mug, a certificate, a medal and best of all, I won a free holiday! I'm going back for free with my family from the 29th September to the 3rd October, to enter the Park Finals, and then if I win that in November I go down to one of the parks in Clacton to enter the Park Resorts final! It's gonna be great!

The last musical I saw was Wicked! I live too far away from London to be able to go there often. I want to go and see Avenue Q next, though, and my dad says it looks good!!! =D

    Re: Wotcha!

Well, I was in a production of Hi-De-Hi with the local adults theatre group (they asked my friend if he'd ask me to join), but I've got previous commitments on the 27th of July (it's the funday in my village, which my Mum organises and I'm on the junior comitee, plus I love the funday so I'm not giving it up!) which is when the dress rehearsal is. At first they told me it was fine, as long as I knew my lines, but afterwards they waited until I was on holiday and left an answerphone message saying that because I wasn't going to commit myself to them (aka become their slave), they wrote me out of the script. It's the fact that they left an answerphone message that annoys me the most. My Mum is going to take me to the club next week, and I'm going to walk in and act like I haven't heard anything, and then when they tell me they left a message, I'll say that the answerphone hasn't worked for weeks! It'll put them in a really embarassing situation! ;) Make them feel as bad as I felt when they didn't even have the courage to face up to me.
